The former Barcelona duo combined brilliantly for Inter Miami's second goal in the 60th minute as they clinched a narrow win over Atlanta United in the first match of their MLS 2024 play-offs Round One encounter. Around the hour mark, Messi set up a perfect ball for Alba who then took a touch and found the back of the net with a stunning shot from more than 25 yards away from the goal.

The 37-year-old Argentina skipper has been in a fiery form of late. He scored five times and provided one assist in October and played an important role in the Herons winning their first-ever MLS Supporters' Shield by breaking the points record. The triumph in the regular season also enabled the David Beckham co-owned club to make it to the inaugural edition of the Club World Cup.
