Christian Eriksen’s future at Tottenham Hotspur is still very much up in their air.
The 27-year-old’s contract is due to expire in the summer of 2020 and there are still no signs of a possible extension any time soon.
That would mean, of course, that Jose Mourinho is risking either losing his Danish playmaker for cheap in January or completely for free come the next summer transfer window.

For that reason, many of the fans were quick to turn on Eriksen, bashing him with every chance they get.
But last Sunday, he played a big part in Spurs’ victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, tallying a crucial stoppage-time assist to give his team all three points on the day.
For that reason, many of the fans were actually gushing with his brilliant contribution and some were even asking for forgiveness.
And what’s even more interesting is that some of the fans still don’t want to see him go and were quick to point it out on social media.
Some were stating that they will miss him if he ends up leaving while others said that he has been a great servant to Spurs’ badge. And this is definitely true considering Eriksen has bagged 68 goals and 69 assists up until this point in his London adventure.

Finally, there were even some fans who urged the midfielder to sign the new contract – that’s how much they would actually hate to see him go.
