According to The Mirror, Paris Saint-Germain have shelved their interest in Everton’s Idrissa Gueye to target a move for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante instead.
And it would be fair to say that Toffees fans are pleased with the report.
PSG were strongly linked with a move for Gueye during the January transfer window, but were unable to secure a deal for the former Aston Villa ace.
One of Everton’s most important players, the 29-year-old made 35 appearances in all competitions for Marco Silva’s side during the 2018-19 campaign.
It remains to be seen whether the Merseyside outfit are able to keep hold of Gueye, who has also previously been linked with Manchester United.

However, news that PSG will seemingly not be following up on their interest in the winter window has been well received by fans of the Toffees, which is not a surprise given how impressive the Senegal international was in recent months.
